Hello Research Study Participants!
Thank you again for being an active participant in our breast cancer research study; we really appreciate it.
Right now, our study is especially looking for participants who have had or currently have a breast cancer diagnosis, or are 60 years or older, or have been told that they have a known pathogenic variant for breast cancer.
A pathogenic variant is a difference in a person’s genes that causes that gene to not work properly, in a way that increases the risk of developing disease. BRCA1 and BRCA2 and several other genes contain pathogenic variants that increase the risk of breast cancer. Our study will help us learn more about the role of pathogenic and other genetic variants in breast cancer.
As you continue to do your part to fight breast cancer, we too will be hitting the ground running this spring as we spread the word about our research study and the importance of participating in research studies like ours to help prevent and treat disease. This spring you will find our team speaking and tabling at a few events in the New Jersey area.
